This past weekend saw Schure Racing and the Western Technical College #21 sprint car have 2 nights of racing starting at El Paso Speedway Park and ending up in Las Cruces New Mexico at Southern New Mexico Speedway. On Friday night Brandon started his heat race from the fourth spot. When the green flag dropped the top 4 cars went for the same spot on the race track and left Brandon no place to go, once they exited the second corner the #21 car was in 6th place and trying to dig himself out of a huge hole. After 8 laps Brandon could never get into the all illusive 4th and final inversion spot. While the Renegade Sprint Car Series lined up for the feature the Schure Racing entry would tag the back of the Field for the start. On the opening laps Brandon made up some ground and passed a few cars on the very slick surface. On lap 15 of 30 Schure was shown in the 9th place, and when the next 15 laps wounded down that is exactly where he would finish. Brandon Commented on there performance, "I would like to apologize to my crew, fans and sponsor for that heat race. I messed up on the opening lap and it put us behind the 8 ball the rest of the night. I totally ruined our chances for a win tonight and I promise everyone i Learned from my mistake.

Saturday  came and you could feel the tension in the 21 pits as everyone knew Brandon was out to prove something to this Renegade Sprint Car field.  The point average would put Brandon starting in the third spot for the third and final heat race. This time on the initial start Brandon would get up on the wheel and pick the right line on the race track and maintain third through the first 2 corners as well as all 8 laps of the heat race. However on the first lap of the feature Brandon would enter turn one and Bicycle, just about flip the Schure Racing owned sprint car, Gather it up and keep going. This saw Brandon go from his 7th starting spot back to 16th in the field. Schure would ride around the for a little while trying to find where his car would work best. Then out of no where Brandon started making up ground and with 5 laps left Brandon entered the top 5 and ran down Royal Jones for the 4th spot when Schure would run out of race track and get together with Jones and spin out. Brandon would restart and finish tenth when the checkered flag dropped. "We really fast tonight. If it weren't for 2 bad laps we would have had a great top 3 finish. We showed that we are capable of not just running alongside these guys, but passing them as well. I am Proud of my whole team and I am glad to know my dad will be at the next race."
