The Western Technical College, Schure Racing #21 sprint car was plenty busy this weekend. The first stop on the schedule was at El Paso Speedway Park. The weekend started off great right when they pulled into the pits as Brandon would draw the number 1 pill and start on the pole of the first heat race. When the green flag dropped Brandon and the #75  car of Dylan Harris would battle wheel to wheel for 2 laps for the lead with the 75 car pulling out to the advantage. There were 2 restarts in the heat to give the #21 car a chance to get back by him but he came up just short and ran 2nd. The 2nd place finish put Brandon in the redraw for the feature where he drew the 8 pill which would put him in the 4th row for the feature. As the feature went on Brandon would battle his way to the top 5 and eventually the top 3 when it was all said and done. "This was a great night and much needed confidence booster for the team. Brandon Commented. We really needed this and I am so happy for the hard work my team, Sponsors and my dad put into this."

Saturday saw the Western Technical College team head west to Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Brandon would once again start on the pole of the heat race and this time he would take full advantage of the starting position and win the 3rd heat race. This would put him into the redraw once again which he pulled the #2 pill and the would put him on the outside front row. As the green flag fell Schure would race to the lead and put a good advantage on the #43 sprinter of Curt Barnett. On the 15th lap however, Brandon Would miscalculate the first corner and jump the cushion letting Barnett and Harris to pass him. "I just went into the corner to hard, I knew right when I drove it in the I messed up but I tried not to loose my head and not make anymore mistakes." In the final 15  the #21 car would not make a mistake and as the checkered flag fell The Schure Racing car would finish in the runner up spot. "This is bitter sweet, I drove 29 good laps but I wish I had the 1 corner back and we could have been in position to win us one." We will take it thought I am so proud of this whole team." With a great weekend behind the Western Technical College team, they will look onto the next race with a lot of confidence!
